Biography

I was born and raised in Milan, Italy, where I cultivated my passion for languages since an early age. After graduating from a specialized high school with a concentration in English, French and Latin I pursued the study of languages and obtained a Diploma as an Interpreter and Translator in English and Spanish. While still living in Italy I worked as a translator in the television industry and in public relations but I changed field of work when I came to the US to join my present husband, whom I had met while traveling.
Here in NY I have worked in the television business in various capacities, as well as a TV and marketing consultant for Italian companies with interests in the US, and as a translator, until I decided to go back to school to purse a MA in education and fulfill a childhood dream to become a teacher.
I received my Master T.E.P. in Italian at Hunter College, where I also taught Italian for two years and I am currently working on the development of an Italian reader for college students.
I love traveling, meeting new peoples and discovering other cultures. I enjoy the arts and visiting museums, cooking, reading, pursuing outdoor activities at large, and spending time with my husband and my three children.
