I was born in New Jersey and immediately moved to Manhattan after finishing college in Boston, returning to the city of my dreams. Although I had graduated from college with degrees in English and English Education, I decided to pursue a brief career as a staff trainer at a start up company called Capital IQ. Luckily, this was a wise move, because that's where I met my husband. After enjoying my time at Capital IQ training staff in NY, London and India, I sunk my teeth into the NYC schools. I started by teaching English at Health Opportunities Secondary School, where I learned that student's minds hold infinite possibilities. Next, I moved to High School for Leadership and Public to try out literacy coaching. While doing that, I finished my Masters in School Building Leadership at NYU, which I loved. Currently, I'm so thrilled to be at UA Institute. I can't wait to work with the wonderful teachers and students that I've met.
